BiographyAward-winning English author and journalist Anthony Wall has travelled widely to pursue interests such as natural history, art and the sea.
His articles have appeared in a variety of newspapers and magazines: TV Times, the Reader’s Digest and The Ecologist among them. He has broadcast on both BBC and independent radio. An active journalist for more than 35 years (as feature writer, sub-editor and editor), he has reported on a great range of subjects. These include conservation, Sahara gas fields, show business, the European Union, deep-sea monsters, crime, haunted castles, sports stars, science, business tycoons, UK General Elections, the Aberfan and Torrey Canyon disasters, the Irish troubles. As well as writing books, mainly children's fiction, he is an avid film fan. His other enduring enthusiasms include psychology, astrology and health. He has also written poetry for the Edinburgh Festival, documentary film commentaries, and has contributed to a highly praised Reader’s Digest anthology on Antarctica. Born in 1941, Anthony Wall was educated at King's College School, Wimbledon. He is married and lives in London. |
